First off I'd like to say that PENN baitcast did an amazing job on this reel. It is a very nice, smooth, cheap but durable, and reliable reel. One my first time out with it I paired it with a 30lb braid and on my first cast, I got a backlash. I was kind of confused because I had set my tension control knob to the correct position but was still getting a bird's nest. I unscrewed the tension control knob, cleaned out the gears, and put it back on. For the rest of the day, the reel worked amazingly! If you seem to have this problem, or any other problem with your tension control knob just try unscrewing it and then screwing it on again, should solve your problem. Overall this is an amazing reel and I will definitely be buying more PENN Baitcast, again well done PENN.
